i read a thread on fp today on marriage proposals.. how their significant other (SO) propose to them.. it was so sweet.. tears flow down my eyes..
let me show u some..

"He told me on a tuesday that he's meeting me after lunch to go for a movie and asked me to wait for him at PS. I reached there on time and he's nowhere to be seen! I was getting pretty impatient and ring him up. He told me that he's there already and asked me to give him a few mins more. Being a good ggf, I agreed. A few seconds later I saw him coming up from the escalator with this enormous bouquet of red roses. He has this big smile on his face, and we proceed to watch movie.

After movie he told me that he's bringing me to somewhere special and we took a cab down to cityhall. I am begining to wonder what is going on as we stopped at one of the entrance at raffles city. He told to get prepared and soon i found out that we are dining at Equinox. I was staring out of the window from 70 floors at the Singapore's Night Scenery when he pop the question. I am so shocked! The peeps at the next table are all staring at us, being embarrassed I agreed. And soon th waiters begin to cheer and clap. He really surprised me on that day, cause I didn't know that he's going to ask me so soon and he's normally the no-so romantic type. But still, he's romantic on that day. "

"this monday, when he sent me to work, i asked if he's free this week and if i could ask him out for dinner and he said ok. on tuesday, he told me to "wear nice nice" for the dinner and i guess it's THE time.

he refused to tell me where we were going for dinner. when he came to fetch me at 7pm, he was wearing shirt and tie and even brought along his jacket suit.

we went to blu restaurant at shangri-la hotel. the restaurant was having some food festival thing, so there's only 1 set meal with a choice of main course (beef or lamb). the dishes have very sophisticated names for a simple person like me.
every dish (including dessert) has a wine to go with and i was like, already dizzy when i'm halfway through the soup.

after meal, he suggested that we visit the balcony and i saw him clenching his fist when we walk towards the door. we walked to the end of the balcony and enjoyed the breeze for a little while before deciding to head back to the restaurant to get some coffee.

when we did a U-turn, he suddenly grab me tightly and then kneel down on one knee and asked if i could let him take care of me for the rest of our lives, and if i would marry him. trying to act hard to get, i asked "where are the flowers?"
he said "don't have, want (me) or not?"

there were some people sitting at the other end of the balcony and they were already cheering at him. so i said "ok" and heard someone said "good girl!"
then we kissed. then the captain/manager brought me a bunch of roses.
when we left the balcony, everyone there clapped."

I'm not saying this coz i wan someone to propose to me.. i'm just saying this is sweet to know that there are many lucky girls out there whose bf really go all out to prove how much they love them.. and yes their efforts do show..

just like doris.. u see how fortunate she is.. doris is my colleague btw... Stuart really loves her a lot.. even i can tell.. i can see it in his eyes, how it brightens up everytime he talked abt her.. how proud he is to let everyone know how much he love her.. i'm so happy for her..

Here's a tip for all the guys out there.. All gers would want to be loved and cared for.. we all love to be pampered and yes that includes attention too.. If you think tts demanding, ask yourself if you love someone, would u wan them to love and care for you? ask all the girls if u dun believe.. unless they don't like ya, of coz they wun need or want your attention.. Don't only say it with words.. that surprise phonecall, a surprise visit would definitely make her day.. If we really love you for who you are, we don't need any flowers or gifts, a hug or a kiss would be more den enough to make us feel loved. If a girl really loves you, she doesn't need you to spend money on her... in fact she would be glad to spend her money on you.. Think about it, if one day you are left with nothing, would she still be there for you? I know i will if my love one is sick or is facing problems.. If so, please don't hesitate. give her a call now and tell her how much u love her =)

i know that day will come when the one who really loves me would let me know how much he love me.. its not only by the words he say but by the actions too.. not afraid to tell the world how much he loves me.. is this considered as demanding and asking for a lot? I dunno but i guess its logical that you wish the one you love is proud to love you..
